Your Guide to Precise Petcare: Basics, Tips, and Hidden Features

From potty breaks to power walks, there's one secret to how we keep it all running (or walking) smoothly - Precise Petcare! This scheduling software is the backbone to our business, helping us manage dog walking and pet sitting schedules, client communication, and important details about your pets with ease. If you are an existing client, you are likely familiar with the scheduling, communication, and payment features within Precise Petcare, But there are many lesser-known features designed to make your experience with FurAmor even more efficient and convenient. If you are a new client, or interested in getting started with us, below you can learn about the basics, tips, and hidden features of Precise Petcare. We know entrusting a company to care for your pets is a HUGE decision! In this blog, you'll learn about how and why Precise Petcare allows us to provide the best care possible for you and your pet.


The Basics

Each of our clients has their own Precise Petcare account. You can access your account either by downloading and logging into the Precise Pertcare app, or by using the desktop version. Your account should contain details on both your pets and your home - so that our team of walkers and pet sitters have all the information they need in order to provide top notch care for your furry family members. Here are a few of the basic features that allow us to do our jobs with precision, and allow you the ease of trusting us with your pet.


  • Scheduling ease. Precise Pet care allows you to manage your own schedule with the touch of a button - you can request walks or pet sit visits, cancel visits, or edit visits straight from your profile. If you ever need a reminder if you have a visit scheduled, or if you want to confirm who your visit is assigned to, logging into your account and viewing your schedule is a quick and easy way to access this info!

  • Communication with Managers. You can message our management team directly through your account in Precise. Select the "messages" tab, then "new message" then select management in the drop down. You can also see previous messages from management here.

  • You stay informed! Precise Petcare will send you e-mails and/or push notifications (based on your preference of notification settings) with visit request and cancellation confirmations, invoice details, and important company updates.

  • Real time visit updates. You will be notified as soon as a walker has arrived for your visit. As soon as your visit is complete, you will receive a summary stating the exact time stamp of your visit, photos of your pets during the visit, a detailed summary, a checklist, as well as a GPS map. This way you are fully informed on exactly what happened during our time with your pet! And you also get to see cute photos of your furry family members while you are at work or on vacation.

Tips

Now that we've gone through the basics, we want to offer some tips so that you can get the most out of your Precise Petcare account. We want your experience with us to be smooth, convenient, and efficient. Besides, we are here to make your life as a pet owner easier! Here are a few tips on how you can take full advantage of the Precise software.


  • Get a message quickly to your sitter. Did you know you can add a note to an upcoming visit? While your profile is the spot to host all information and instructions for your home and pet, if there is a specific note you need for a single visit or day, you can add a comment to an upcoming visit. For example, did a package arrive around back that you want us to bring in? Or maybe there's construction on your street and you want to direct the walker on how to take a detour. Maybe your dog is crated when they are usually left to free roam the home. Whatever it may be, logging into your account and adding a note to a visit is a GREAT way to get information directly to your walker or sitter. Please note - any ongoing updates on home information or pet details should be added directly to your profile as a permanent update.

  • Respond directly to a journal. As we mentioned in the previous section, after each visit, you will receive a detailed summary including photos, map, checklist, and journal. You can actually reply directly to your journal if you would like to respond with a follow up question or a quick message of appreciation for your walker. We love getting to hang out with your pets, so it's always great to hear from their humans!

  • Pay directly through your account. Precise Petcare offers the ease of autopay so you never have to think about or miss a payment. Once your payment information is added into your account, your invoice will auto draft every Monday for the previous week of services. You will receive a detailed invoice to your e-mail and can also access previous invoices from your account under the "billing" tab. Easy peasy!

  • Tip your walker! Our walkers work tirelessly in all weather conditions to be there for your pets when you cannot. While it is of course not required, a tip to your walker or sitter is GREATLY appreciated! And you don't have to worry about leaving cash, or figuring out their Venmo or Zelle account. You can tip your sitters directly in your Precise Profile. You can add an ongoing tip to all upcoming services (recommended), or you can add a one time tip. To add an ongoing auto-tip, you can do so by editing your profile and adding a dollar amount of percentage to your account in the tip section. To add a tip to a specific visit, click on the visit, and then "tip." You can also add a tip directly to a specific invoice, by clicking the tip button at the bottom of your invoice. So even if you are on auto-pay, you can leave a one time tip to your invoice.

  • Access your service agreement. We know it's a lot to keep up with our different policies and procedures. We will always discuss the service agreement during orientation, but did you know you have a copy of it right at your fingertips in your Precise account? In the menu on the left, click "account" and "view" next to policy agreement.

  • Setup a profile for each of your pets. While you have one master account for your household, your pets can be added under separate profiles in your account. Having accurate and detailed instructions under each pet profile is super helpful for us to ensure we are providing proper care.


Hidden Features

With the basics and key tips behind us, let's dive in to some hidden features of Precise Petcare.


  • Create a photo album. Our dog walkers and pet sitters are almost like part-time photographers. We love snapping cute photos of your pets while we are spending time with them. As mentioned before, you will receive multiple photos of your pets after each visit. Each of these photos actually gets stored in your Precise Petcare account and allows you to create a shareable gallery of every single photo we have taken of your pet! In the menu on the left hand side, click "photos" and then you can either select the checkbox next to each picture you'd like to add to the gallery or you can click "select all" to include every photo on that page. You will need to scroll to the next page, "select all" again in order to include every photo we have taken. It will then prompt you to select "new shared gallery." You will then have a URL you can share with friends, share on Facebook. etc. You can also of course download all of the photos onto your computer or mobile device! Who doesn't love seeing photos of their pets?

  • Follow your dog in real time. As stated in a previous section, you are notified as soon as a walker has arrived for your visit. As soon as they click "arrive," Precise starts tracking their location. You can select the visit in your schedule and view your map in real time. You do need to refresh the page in order to see the movement. But you are able to track your pup on their adventure before their walk is even completed!

  • Allow access to friends and family. Sometimes it takes a village to raise a dog. Or maybe your friends like to refer to themselves as the ~cool~ aunt or uncle to your dog and want to keep an eye on things as well. Or perhaps you have an emergency contact or family member who will be managing your account while you're on vacation. You can actually give them access to your account without sharing your login information with them. You can create separate logins for anyone else you would like to have access to your account. You will need to reach out to your manager directly in order for them to add additional access to your account.
