OPERATIONS MANAGER

I’m honored to be a part of the FurAmor management team in the Northwest Chicago neighborhoods and in the Park Ridge area. My main focus is working with our Chicago walkers and our clients, human and fur, and acting as their main source of support.

I’ve had a variety of animals since I was young, from pigs, horses, cows, dogs, cats and bunnies. My soul dog is my beautiful Saint Bernard Roxy, who is my shadow when I’m home. I enjoy spending my time with my husband, kids, family and friends at get-togethers, lacrosse tournaments, cheer competitions or enjoying a nice sunny day floating and playing out on the lake in Wisconsin.

I’ve been with the company for over seven years.

My love for dogs and animals was the catalyst to start part-time as a walker. Years later, I’m now the weekend manager and my love for looking after people’s pets is unwavering. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling and racing cars.

LEAD WALKER

I grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and have been working here for three years. Long before that, I was in corporate and didn’t care for it, then quit to be a caregiver for a loved one. I loved being a caregiver and was very good at it, so I became Certified Nursing Assistant. For several years, I used this knowledge to help my wife until she passed away.

At this time of my life, I needed a simple but fulfilling career. Since I always loved dogs, I thought I’d try dog walking. Joining this company was the best decision I ever made. I love working with animals and getting to see different personalities, and getting a shy pet to trust you is so rewarding.

When I'm not walking dogs, I'm spending time with family and friends. I'm also in a bowling league in the fall, and watching a Cubs game whenever I can.

At FurAmor, we prioritize the wellbeing of your furry, feathery or even scaly family members. That's why we ensure all of our team members take part in a comprehensive training process. Not only do they undergo in-person training, but they must also complete our specialized Pet Pro online training program. (Read more in the Team section of our FAQs!)

I joined the team in 2024. Before that, I owned a small pet sitting business in Arizona for over 12 years. Being a dog walker/pet sitter feeds my soul. I love building relationships with clients and their pets. I currently have two standard poodles and an Arabian horse.

Fun fact: My name is pronounced like Marianne from Gilligan's Island, except without the M. I've been a walker since 2022. My favorite part is obviously the dogs, but also building relationships with them and gaining clients’ trust. I have three pups I share with Brian, who I’ve been married to for eight wonderful years.

My name is Freya Walker. I could be considered a valuable asset for this reason alone, but it just so happens that I enjoy being a walker of dogs as well. I’m originally from Texas, but I call the windy city my home. I’ve been a proud dog owner and dog lover since middle school and I recently moved in with 2 cats, Iris and Anita. They’re my big sweeties! I enjoy doing crosswords and playing video games when I’m not taking care of pets.
